Projects and Partnerships
The Partners in Indigenous Conservation and Environmental Futures lab is involved in multiple partnerships and projects in Canada and beyond. We collaborate closely with the Centre for Indigenous Conservation and Development Alternatives (CICADA) and the ICCA Consortium. Professor Monica Mulrennan is currently leading the Governance Stream of the Conservation Through reconciliation Partnership (CRP).
CICADA
Professor Mulrennan is a founding member of the Centre for Indigenous Conservation and Development Alternatives. Some of the most recent collaborations of PICEF with CICADA resulted in the publication of multiple policy briefs on how measure, nurture, support and safeguard biodiversity. These publications are available on the CICADA website. These policy briefs were co-created with direct input from indigenous partners from the co-sponsored first North American Dialogue on Biocultural Diversity, held in Montreal May 5-8, 2019 as well as the ICCA Consortium and CICADA meeting held in in Montreal, Canada, from May 1 to 4.
